Diversity
Today was the first day of classes at Wenatchee Valley College for the Winter quarter. As an adjunct business professor, I always look forward to meeting the students I'll be guiding through the mazes of business and marketing over the next 10 weeks.
I was struck today, more than any quarter, at the diversity held in the faces of my students. I have retirees, former colleagues, returning students, friends, children of friends, hopeful business majors, students with uncertain futures, athletes, and a number of Running Start students sitting in my classrooms.
I'm hopeful for this mix. With such a deep combination of those with "real world" experience, and those with little experience, the conversation should be exciting.
