Masterclass.
Oh man, this has been a hard blog post to write. I’ve been going over this in my head for well over a month and have a new appreciation for why businesses hire me to promote on their behalf. But here goes:
This past summer, I was asked by the Washington State Department of Commerce to teach a Masterclass on Marketing as part of their Washington State Entrepreneur Academy.
Eleven experts in their respective fields were selected to teach the critical skills needed to be a successful business owner. Each course includes a companion online and printable workbook, links to additional resources, and even quizzes so you can test your mastery of the skills you’ve learned. And it’s free.
It’s a wonderful project- full of information designed specifically to help an aspiring entrepreneur build, launch, and execute their business plan. I am humbled by the opportunity to stand amongst such esteemed content experts.
One thing this bizarre, horrible, and uncertain economy is likely to bring is a rise in entrepreneurship. It’s not unusual to see a spike in business starts after a recession or period of economic decline. It’s a matter of putting your fate in the hands of another, or trusting yourself to forge your own path forward. If you are planning to forge you own path forward, I encourage you to check out this incredible resource.
So there. I’ve done it. The hardest copy I’ve ever written has been for my own business.
